If you are interested in joining the Glen Rock Fire Department, we encourage you to come visit us at the firehouse on any Thursday night after 7:30pm. We accept members 16 and up. Our members all have full time jobs as well as other family/personal commitments. Many members commute daily to NYC for their jobs. Members respond to fire calls when they are available and we conduct drills, clean-ups and business meetings on Thursday evenings.
The Department will provide you with all necessary turnout gear as well as a pager to alert you of fire calls. New members will attend “Fire I” training at the Bergen County Fire Academy and will also receive in-house training with respect to the Department’s standard operating guidelines.
